Saying GOODBYE project #2

The Tutti-Frutti Suite is going to be retiring on May 31st so that means the Fruit Basket stamp set will be gone, I have had so much fun creating with this suite of products and i know you will too!

In today’s card I combined the Fruit Basket stamp set and the  Perennial Birthday stamp set  for one of my favorite card folds. I will definitely miss the Fruit basket bundle but I’m so happy to say the Perennial Birthday set will be in the New 2018-2019 Annual Catalog!

IMG_8381

Lets get started…..

Cutting instructions-

To create the front panel you will need to stamp Happy Birthday several times in peekaboo peach ink, adhere to the peekaboo peach card stock and wrap a piece of the lemon lime twist stripe ribbon around and tie a bow  (18″).

Next you will want to emboss the sentiment in whisper white embossing powder by stamping first in Versa Mark, cover with embossing powder and heating with heat tool until shiny, adhere to scallop and attach with dimensionals. Add citrus and a few sequins and basic rhinestones for bling 🙂

Lay down your lemon lime twist with the embossed side to the left and attach the front panel dimensionals on the embossed side, set aside.

IMG_8383Stamp the sentiment on the second piece of whisper white in lemon lime twist, adhere to the peekaboo peach card stock, add a few more citrus, sequins and rhinestones as pictured.IMG_8401Adhere the tuttie-frutti designer series paper to the inside of the sahara sand card base, adhere the whisper white to the lemon lime twist. Center the lemon lime twist on the inside of the card base.IMG_8382Add the last piece of tuttie-frutti designer series paper to the front left, fold over the lemon lime twist to complete your card 🙂IMG_8400

Whole Lot of Lovely

I love the Stampin’ UP! designer series paper and as each catalog comes to an end there are so many I will miss. The Whole Lot of Lovely designer series paper is one of them, I love the colors, the different prints and how it works with so many stamp sets. To create my card I used one of my favorite stamp sets from the Occasions catalog, Petal Palette and Artisan Texture from the NEW the 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up! catalog (Available June 1,2018)

FullSizeRender (2)

To get started you will need to cut the following….

To complete the card you will need to…..

  • stamp the sentiment in versamark ink on the black oval, cover with white embossing powder, shake off excess and heat until shiny. Adhere to the soft sky scallop oval and punch a 1/8″ hole on each side.
  • with the crumb cake ink and a stamping sponge rub the edges of the card, the wood texture strip and the 2 banners. Stamp the texture back ground on the card front with crumb cake ink.
  • adhere the 2 flags to the front and the wood texture strip as pictured, add a couple dimensionals to the back of the oval, cut a 30″ piece of linen thread, fold in half and wrap around the card attaching the oval. When tying the bow slip a 4″ piece of lace trim folded in half and secure in bow.
  • add a rhinestone and faceted gem as pictured.

Bird Banter Birthday

A little birdie told me…..the Bird Banter stamp set is one you may have passed by in the Occasions Catalog (check page 42) I would  have too but at the last On Stage event for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators Brian King demonstrated a card that sold me. Now 4 months into the Occasions Catalog  I decided to see what I could come up with. This fun card is perfect if you happen to be a little late on sending birthday cards….or if you are on the ball just leave out “obviously, it wasn’t an early bird”. I am sure with all the great bird images you will be creating all sorts of fun cards.

Cutting Instructions:

  • calypso coral- cut 1 at 5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″, score at 2 1/8″ & 4 1/4″
  • lemon lime twist- cut 1 at 2 3/4″ X 3″
  • bermuda bay- cut 1 at 3″ X 3 1/4″
  • whisper white- cut 1 at 2 1/2″ X 2 3/4″, cut 1 at 2 1/2″ X 3″
  • designer series paper- cut 1 at 1 7/8″ X 5 1/4″, scraps for balloons (I used the Bubbles & Fizz from Sale A Bration)
  • basic gray- scraps for sentiments

Directions:

  • stamp all images with the momento black ink, set aside to dry
  • adhere print to front fold, add lemon lime twist and then add the bermuda bay to the inside so that it frames the lemon lime twist
  • color in images with stampin’ blends and or markers
  • cut out balloons and trim sentiments
  • attach to the card as pictured

Treat Yourself

Adding fun colors and a little sparkle makes the basic gift card holder that much more exciting to give. I created this holder with one of our narrow note cards and envelopes featured in the Occasions catalog. The designers series paper along with the stamped images are from the Perfect Party Suite, I added the shimmer black ribbon and pool party bakers twine to finish it off.

IMG_7163

  • To create the holder you need to score the note card at 1 1/4″, fold to the front and add a strip of Perfect Party designer series paper cut at 1 1/8″ X 4 1/4″ and adhere.
  • Cut a coordinating piece at 2″ X 4 1/4″, adhere to the inside. I staple the card on both sides close to the edge to form the pocket.
  • Cut a piece of coordinating card stock 3 1/2″ X 2″, stamp “treat yourself” in basic black ink and adhere to the inside, position to the right side.
  • stamp “Happy Birthday” on a scrap of coordinating card stock, punch out with the classic label punch, punch a hole to tie the bakers twine through.
  • Wrap the shimmer black ribbon around and tie a knot, slip the bakers twine behind and tie a bow, slip your gift card in and you are set to go!

Make it mini or narrow….

Sometimes we don’t need a full card, a 3×3 or the New Narrow Note Cards are perfect to add to a gift bag or slip in a gift you are mailing.

I pulled out my product from the Tutti-Frutti Suite and started to play….it’s so much fun when everything coordinates 🙂

img_7060
I used the stitched shape framelits, 2 1/8″ & 1 5/8′ for all 3 cards.
img_7055
…a closer look 🙂 The simple stripe textured embossing folder to add dimension to the card base.
img_7063
I adhered a scrap of the tutti-frutti paper to cover the envelope flap and trimmed.
img_7064
To create the pocket for the gift card I folded the front of the narrow note card in half , add a strip of 1″ paper and stapled close to the edge on both sides.
img_7062
The tag was created with the 1 /14″ & 1″ circle punches + the 1 1/8″ scallop circle punch.

Your the sweetest!

Sweet treats are the best and this little box is filled with just a few. The Fruit Basket bundle is also filled with choices.  I used the watermelon stamps and punch for this sweet treat, with the two-step stamping it is easy to create the watermelons and then punch them out to use on your project! The Fruit Basket bundle includes the stamp set and 4 punches, a pear, a strawberry, a pineapple and the watermelon.

IMG_6827

I created a belly band by wrapping  two 6″ X 1″ strips of the Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper around a tiny treat box. Die cut a stitched shape square framelit for the front, stamp “you are the sweetest” in basic black ink, with a basic black marker add a few spatters by flicking the brush tip end. Stamp a couple watermelons in flirty flamingo ink above the sentiment, add the rind in wild wasabi ink, stamp several more on a scrap piece of whisper white CS and punch out with the coordinating watermelon punch. Attach with dimensionals, wrap a piece of linen thread around the top and tie in a bow, add to the front of the box with dimensionals. Fill the box with watermelon candies and you are set!

Below is a complete list of supplies to create this sweet treat. Click on any of the products to be directed to my online store, all online orders will be shipped directly to you!

Don’t forget there is still time to receive Sale-A-Bration Rewards with a $50 purchase, you will earn Hostess rewards with all orders over $150

The Perfect Pear….

Sometimes your plans just don’t work out….like sharing samples last week of the Tutti-Frutti Suite. I live in California and we are very lucky to have been having some amazing weather so we headed to the beach for a few days to relax and enjoy the sun with friends and family.

Today I cleared off my desk and started to get back to what I started, creating with the Fruit Basket stamp set and Tutti-Frutti Designer Series paper….the perfect pear!

Watermarked(2018-02-19-1014) (1)

Directions:

  • Start with a card base of lemon lime twist CS (5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″)
  • Next emboss a piece of whisper white CS (3 3/4″ X 5″) with the Simple Stripes embossing folder and adhere to a piece of crumb cake CS (3 7/8″ X 5 1/8″), adhere to the lemon lime card base.
  • Make a banner with a 2″ strip of Tutti-Frutti DSP and flag the bottom with the triple banner punch
  • Wrap a 6″ piece of lemon lime twist ribbon around the top of the banner and tie in a knot, adhere to the front of the card.
  • Punch out 1 starburst in tutti-frutti DSP, die cut 1 stitched circle in whisper white and sponge the edges in crumb cake ink. With crushed curry ink and a sponge dauber color the back side of a metallic foil doilie and cut in half.
  • Stamp the basket in crumb cake ink on crumb cake CS and cut out. Stamp a couple pears in both crushed curry and lemon lime twist ink, punch out with the pear punch. Stamp “hello” in crumb cake ink on a scrap of whisper white CS, cut out and punch a 1/6″ hole. Wrap a piece of linen thread around basket and tie a bow with the tag.
  • Attach the basket to the stitched circle with dimensionals, add the pears with mini dimensionals.
  • Layer together by adhering 1 half of the doilie to each side of the starburst, attach the whisper white stitched circle next with dimensionals, and adhere to the banner below the knot and add acouple tutti-frutti sequins.

I love making cards that are general, they are perfect when you just want to say hello and brighten someones day or add a sentiment inside!
