Saying GOODBYE to favorites…

As exciting as it is for us to get the New catalog it is also very sad to say goodbye to some of my favorites. From now until May 31st I will be sharing some of the ones I will really miss along with projects I created with them.

Today I will be sharing the Tutti-Frutti Suite, how can you pass up on the bright cheery colors, fun coordinating punches, sequins and ribbon!

I have created 3 projects, a simple square card, a fun fold and a treat holder.
Today I will share how to create this simple square card, the next two days I will share the other two projects!

Lets get started…..

  • cut 1 4 1/4″ X 4 1/4″ piece of Lemon Lime Twist card stock, score at 4 1/4″, emboss the front with the Polka Dot Basics embossing folder.
  • cut 2 3″ X 3″ squares of the Tutti-Frutti designer series paper and adhere to the front of the card as pictured.
  • cut 1 3/4″ X 4″ piece of Sahara Sand card stock, stamp your sentiment in the center with Soft Suede ink, with the 1/8″ hole punch punch out a half punch about a 1/2″ in from the left side on the top and bottom, wrap a piece of linen thread around a couple of times and tie a bow.
  • adhere a 4 1/2″ piece of Lemon Lime Twist ribbon along the bottom side of the Sahara Sand strip, trim edges at an angle, attach to the front of the card with dimensional.
  • cut out a few fruit and attach to the sentiment popping one up with dimensionals, add a few coordinating sequence for bling!

Make it mini or narrow….

Sometimes we don’t need a full card, a 3×3 or the New Narrow Note Cards are perfect to add to a gift bag or slip in a gift you are mailing.

I pulled out my product from the Tutti-Frutti Suite and started to play….it’s so much fun when everything coordinates 🙂

I used the stitched shape framelits, 2 1/8″ & 1 5/8′ for all 3 cards.
…a closer look 🙂 The simple stripe textured embossing folder to add dimension to the card base.
I adhered a scrap of the tutti-frutti paper to cover the envelope flap and trimmed.
To create the pocket for the gift card I folded the front of the narrow note card in half , add a strip of 1″ paper and stapled close to the edge on both sides.
The tag was created with the 1 /14″ & 1″ circle punches + the 1 1/8″ scallop circle punch.

Your the sweetest!

Sweet treats are the best and this little box is filled with just a few. The Fruit Basket bundle is also filled with choices.  I used the watermelon stamps and punch for this sweet treat, with the two-step stamping it is easy to create the watermelons and then punch them out to use on your project! The Fruit Basket bundle includes the stamp set and 4 punches, a pear, a strawberry, a pineapple and the watermelon.

I created a belly band by wrapping  two 6″ X 1″ strips of the Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper around a tiny treat box. Die cut a stitched shape square framelit for the front, stamp “you are the sweetest” in basic black ink, with a basic black marker add a few spatters by flicking the brush tip end. Stamp a couple watermelons in flirty flamingo ink above the sentiment, add the rind in wild wasabi ink, stamp several more on a scrap piece of whisper white CS and punch out with the coordinating watermelon punch. Attach with dimensionals, wrap a piece of linen thread around the top and tie in a bow, add to the front of the box with dimensionals. Fill the box with watermelon candies and you are set!

Below is a complete list of supplies to create this sweet treat. Click on any of the products to be directed to my online store, all online orders will be shipped directly to you!

Don’t forget there is still time to receive Sale-A-Bration Rewards with a $50 purchase, you will earn Hostess rewards with all orders over $150

The Perfect Pear….

Sometimes your plans just don’t work out….like sharing samples last week of the Tutti-Frutti Suite. I live in California and we are very lucky to have been having some amazing weather so we headed to the beach for a few days to relax and enjoy the sun with friends and family.

Today I cleared off my desk and started to get back to what I started, creating with the Fruit Basket stamp set and Tutti-Frutti Designer Series paper….the perfect pear!

Watermarked(2018-02-19-1014) (1)

  • Start with a card base of lemon lime twist CS (5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″)
  • Next emboss a piece of whisper white CS (3 3/4″ X 5″) with the Simple Stripes embossing folder and adhere to a piece of crumb cake CS (3 7/8″ X 5 1/8″), adhere to the lemon lime card base.
  • Make a banner with a 2″ strip of Tutti-Frutti DSP and flag the bottom with the triple banner punch
  • Wrap a 6″ piece of lemon lime twist ribbon around the top of the banner and tie in a knot, adhere to the front of the card.
  • Punch out 1 starburst in tutti-frutti DSP, die cut 1 stitched circle in whisper white and sponge the edges in crumb cake ink. With crushed curry ink and a sponge dauber color the back side of a metallic foil doilie and cut in half.
  • Stamp the basket in crumb cake ink on crumb cake CS and cut out. Stamp a couple pears in both crushed curry and lemon lime twist ink, punch out with the pear punch. Stamp “hello” in crumb cake ink on a scrap of whisper white CS, cut out and punch a 1/6″ hole. Wrap a piece of linen thread around basket and tie a bow with the tag.
  • Attach the basket to the stitched circle with dimensionals, add the pears with mini dimensionals.
  • Layer together by adhering 1 half of the doilie to each side of the starburst, attach the whisper white stitched circle next with dimensionals, and adhere to the banner below the knot and add acouple tutti-frutti sequins.

I love making cards that are general, they are perfect when you just want to say hello and brighten someones day or add a sentiment inside!

Day 3 Valentine Treat Share

Day 3 Valentine Treats

This week is going by quickly, it’s day 3 of my Valentine Treat share with the Sure Do Love You bundle. I created this treat holder out of one of our NEW Whisper White Narrow Note Card Envelopes featured on page 19 of the Occasions Catalog along with the Painted with Love Suite. The envelopes work great and with 20 in a pack you will be able to create a lot of treats.

  • Die cut the 2nd largest stitched shape circle framelit out of the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper
  • Die cut a 2 3/4″ melon mambo scallop circle using the layering circle framelits, adhere to the stitched circle and cut in 1/2 (you have an extra set for another treat)
  • Stamp one of the conversation hearts from the Sure Do Love You bundle in basic black on whisper white card stock, die cut with the coordinating heart from Lots of Love Box framelits, die cut an additional one out of melon mambo card stock. Trim the white off the stamped heart and attach to the melon mambo one with a dimensional.
  • To create the holder you need to fold the bottom of the envelope in half
  • Fold that edge up 1/4″ to 1/2″, crease with the bone folder
  • Open up and fold back forming a”W”
  • Just above the front lower fold add a strip of melon mambo washi tape and adhere the conversation heart as pictured.
  • Adhere the scallop 1/2 circle to the flap, fold down and tie a piece of solid black and white bakers twine around the top with a bow, slide in your choice of candy…I used a mini Hershey bar .

Below are all the supplies needed to create this Valentine Treat, as you may have noticed from the past two days we are using most of the same product.  Click on any product and you will be at my online store!

Day 2 Valentine Treats

It’s day 2 of my Valentine Treat share with the Sure Do Love You bundle. Today I chose to wrap up a box of “Sweethearts”, you can choose to wrap up any box of candy just by adjusting the measurements of your base card stock. This is a fun treat to give, everyone is surprised when the pull up on the bow the candy comes right along with it 🙂

Sweethearts all wrapped up!

    • Cut 1 piece of melon mambo card stock 3 1/4 X 7″, lightly wrap round your box of candy pressing on all edges to get nice crisp edges. (The melon mambo may need to be different depending on your box of candy, measure all the way around and add 1-2″ for overlap)
    • Overlap on the back side and adhere, slip off and punch a 1/8″ circle through both layers near the top.
    • Cut a 20″ piece of the black shimmer ribbon, insert through the hole on the front and bring out the hole in the back, pulling the ribbon so it is equal in length on both sides.
    • Insert the box of candy slowly pushing the ribbon down with it, tie a bow on the top of the box. This will allow the box to slide up when you pull the bow.
    • On a scrap piece of whisper white card stock stamp the banner image from “Sure Do Love You” in melon mambo, stamp off on a scrap piece of paper first for a softer image. Stamp again in basic black and cut out the words as pictured, attach to the banner with dimensionals.
    •  Adhere 4 rows of melon mambo washi tape on a piece of whisper white card stock (apx. 2 1/2″ X 3″) die cut with the 4th from the largest smooth ovals, die cut another piece of whisper white with the 3rd from the largest scallop oval, adhere together with adhesive and then to the front of the box.
    • Die cut the larger heart from the Love You Lots Box framelits out of a scrap of Petal Passions Designer Series paper, attach to oval with dimensionals
    • Add the banner to the heart with dimensionals to finish off.
