Stampin'Up!

Grateful Heart box…

Watermarked(2018-10-16-1419)

This small box is fun to stamp and the perfect size for a small gift, a gift card or just some yummy treats. These mini gable boxes come in a pack of 12 and you can pick the lustrous white as I did or silver.

I added a little more color to the box with our New gray granite and a stamp from the Artisan Texture stamp set, I stamped off the ink on a scrap of paper so I would get a softer look. The leaves were stamped on the box in cajun craze and crushed curry and then stamped on coordinating card stock and die cut out. I stamped the sentiment in cajun craze on a whisper white stitched circle that was die cut and the die cut a scallop circle and layered them together with dimensionals.

To finish off the box you want to put it together and fill it with your gift, tie a piece of the gray granite ribbon around and tie into a bow. I punched a hole in the scallop circle and tied it on to the bow with linen thread. I attached the die cut leaves to the back and added gold pearls.

Fall Inspiration…

IMG_0868

Fall colors are so beautiful if you are lucky enough to live where the leaves change colors but….if you aren’t so lucky sometimes you need to look for inspiration in other places. I found the napkins, plates and even a table-cloth that captured the feeling I was looking for, cool, crisp and cheerful! As a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator I knew these would coordinate perfect with our Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Blackberry Bliss & Mint Macaron color palette and will be sharing fun projects this week with these colors.

Merry Christmas tag…

Watermarked2(2018-10-03-0750)

Would you like a stamp set that you can make tags for the upcoming Holidays? I have picked one that I think you will have a lot of fun creating with “Many Blessings”….I know I have. My first project was created with the candy cane image and Merry Christmas sentiment. The best part about creating tags is that they can be used for so many things. This tag would be great to add to a gift bag, it could also be added to the front of a card or used like I have added to a box of treats.

Watermarked1(2018-10-03-0749)

To create the tag I stamped the image in Memento ink on whisper white card stock then die cut it with a square stitched shape and colored it in with Stampin’ Blends. Stamp the sentiment with Memento ink  and then cut out, I softened the edges with a sponge and crumb cake ink. Tie a piece of the real red ribbon around the square, add a linen thread bow and tuck the sentiment under to look like a hanging tag.

I used the Dashing Along Designer Series paper which was a Hostess Special last month so if you weren’t lucky enough to get your own pack you can pick from any of the other wonderful Stampin’ Up! Designer Series paper…..back to the tag base 🙂 the base measures 3″ X 4″ (you can get 12 from 1 sheet of 12 X 12 paper), I trimmed off the top to corners and use the Detailed Trio Punch the hole in the tag. I attached the whisper white to the stripe tag with dimensionals.

To add it to the Acetate treat box I created a belly band with garden green card stock (cut 2 at 1 1/2″ X 8 1/2″) attach the to strips together and then wrap around the box, adhere together and trim off any extra card stock. I used two different ribbons, real red cotton and whisper white tulle to tie on the tag and tie a bow. to finish it off I punched a couple of silver sprigs and slipped under the bow 🙂

*the candy canes were purchased from the Dollar store “Bobs sweet Stripes”…don’t they fit perfect in or boxes!

Product of the Week!

The Buffalo Check background stamp is a favorite pick of mine from the Holiday Catalog and this weeks “Product of the Week”. I will be sharing different projects that I have used this stamp and you will see that this is a must have that can be used throughout the year!

Watermarked(2018-09-25-0605)

Today’s card I used the Buffalo Check as the background for my card base stamping the image in garden green ink on garden green card stock for a tone on tone look. I finished up the card with poppy parade and whisper white card stock, adding strips of the Santa’s workshop Designer series paper, a poppy parade stitched circle and garden green bakers twine. The Santa image was stamped in memento ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends, I added the dazzling details to his cap with the fine tip glue  and popped it up with dimensionals.

Happy Halloween ….

This may not be the traditional Halloween colors but it sure makes me Happy about Halloween. Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green have become two of my favorite NEW Stampin’ Up! colors and I was excited to see them featured in the Toil & Trouble Halloween Designer Series Paper.

I started with a 5 1/2′ X 8 1/2″ piece of whisper white card stock, scored at 4 1/4″, I stamped the stars in gorgeous grape and granny apple green classic ink along the top. Next I added a 2 strips of designer series paper, 1″ X  5 1/2″ & 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, The Happy Halloween was stamped in memento black ink in the lower right corner.

To finish it off I punched out a basic black starburst shape and attached a witches hat that I had cut out of the designer series paper and adhered it to the card base. I wrapped a piece of the black bakers twine around the card and tied a bow adding in a 3″ piece of the black sequins trim.

If you are looking for a quick card this one is perfect, you can change-up the papers and ink and get a totally different look!

BOO….

This past week I have been sharing mostly Halloween treats but I’m switching it up for a couple of days and will be sharing a few cards I have created….not to say that any card idea can’t be made into a treat or even a scrapbook page!

My first card features the Buffalo Check background stamp, Spooky Treats Bundle and the Warm Hearted Hostess set. I love this bold black and white with a touch of Granny Apple Green color palette, you could easily change it up with your favorite colors.

Watermarked(2018-09-18-1139)

To get started you will need:

  • basic black card stock -cut 1 at 5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
  • whisper white card stock– cut 1 at 4″ X 5 1/4″, die cut 1 (2 1/8″) stitched shape square, cut 1 at 3 3/4″ X 5″ (inside)
  • granny apple green– cut 1 at 2 1/4″ X 2 1/4″, cut 1 at 4″ X 5 1/4″ (inside)
  • black foil sheet– die cut 1 (2 1/2″) scallop square

Next you will need to:

  • Ink the Buffalo Check stamp with the Memento Black ink and stamp the Whisper White card front, wrap around a piece of the Black Glitter ribbon and tie a bow and then adhere to the card base.
  • Stamp the “BOO” shadow first the Smoky Slate ink, I stamped it off to get a softer look. Then stamp the solid “BOO” in Memento Black ink.
  • Stamp the back ground image above the “BOO” in Smoky Slate ink again stamping off, with a scrap of the Black Foil paper punch out the trio of bats and attach one above the “BOO” with mini dimensionals.
  • Adhere the Black Foil scallop square above the bow, add the Granny Apple Green square and then the Whisper White stitched square with dimensionals.
  • For the inside of the card I repeated how I had stamped the front square except added Happy Halloween instead of the “BOO”  and layered the Whisper White on the Granny Apple Green the Basic Black. You can add you extra bats inside too!

I hope this card has inspired you to start creating your own Halloween cards to send. if you would like to create this card I have listed all the supplies I used below. If you would like to purchase these and/or other items you can click on any item and be directed to my online store.
