Would you like a stamp set that you can make tags for the upcoming Holidays? I have picked one that I think you will have a lot of fun creating with “Many Blessings”….I know I have. My first project was created with the candy cane image and Merry Christmas sentiment. The best part about creating tags is that they can be used for so many things. This tag would be great to add to a gift bag, it could also be added to the front of a card or used like I have added to a box of treats.

To create the tag I stamped the image in Memento ink on whisper white card stock then die cut it with a square stitched shape and colored it in with Stampin’ Blends. Stamp the sentiment with Memento ink  and then cut out, I softened the edges with a sponge and crumb cake ink. Tie a piece of the real red ribbon around the square, add a linen thread bow and tuck the sentiment under to look like a hanging tag.

I used the Dashing Along Designer Series paper which was a Hostess Special last month so if you weren’t lucky enough to get your own pack you can pick from any of the other wonderful Stampin’ Up! Designer Series paper…..back to the tag base 🙂 the base measures 3″ X 4″ (you can get 12 from 1 sheet of 12 X 12 paper), I trimmed off the top to corners and use the Detailed Trio Punch the hole in the tag. I attached the whisper white to the stripe tag with dimensionals.

To add it to the Acetate treat box I created a belly band with garden green card stock (cut 2 at 1 1/2″ X 8 1/2″) attach the to strips together and then wrap around the box, adhere together and trim off any extra card stock. I used two different ribbons, real red cotton and whisper white tulle to tie on the tag and tie a bow. to finish it off I punched a couple of silver sprigs and slipped under the bow 🙂

*the candy canes were purchased from the Dollar store “Bobs sweet Stripes”…don’t they fit perfect in or boxes!
